| Galvanic Stimulator Introduction |
The Pulsed-Galvanic Stimulator is a High Voltage Galvanic system. This device is battery powered and generates small pulse of electrical current. The output signal has a"twin-peak
monophasic wave form with a fixed duration.
The Pulsed-Galvanic Stimulator system provideds single channel in a single device package.
The polarity switch sets the polarity of the active electrode in relation to the dispersive electrode. The active electrode is the pad that delivers the treatment current. user manual. |

| Unit Controls |
 |
| The HVG-STIM system device has one switch and four keypads |
| Switch on the top side of the unit: |
- ON / OFF switch-powers on and powers off the device.
- Power on LED (green)
- Low Battery LED (red)
- DC-IN socket - the adapter plug into the jack.
- Output socket- the lead wire plug into the jack.

| Galvanic Stimulator SD720 Keypads: |
 |
| 1. |
Mode - The Mode keypad allows you to select one of the preset treatment protocols or to use the adjustable feature. In the adjustable setting, you have the flexibility of independ
adjusting all the settings. For more detailed information on the protocols, indications for use and programmed settings please refer to HVG-STIM system device protocol booklet. |
|
Mode key allows selection of 5 pre-set treatment protocols |
|
- Mode: adjustable and pre-programmed
Adjustable mode: Adjustable mode has four types such as A-P, A-N, S-P and S-N
A means alternative, A means simulaneous, P means positive wave, and N means negative
Amplitude-adjustable 10-300 V (500 ohm load)
Frequency-adjustable, 1-120 pulses per second
- Pre-programmed mode:
- EDR mode (for electrical field phenomenon):
Use for sensory level stimulation for acute joint effusions, and acute edema of the hand, foream, foot, and leg.
Wave form: Twin peaked mono - phase spike
Mode alternating: Rate:60Hz Polarity: negative
- EDR2 mode (for muscle pumping action):
Used for chronic edema associated with venous insufficiency, chronic edema of the extremities following surgery.
Wave form: Twin peaked mono-phase spike
Mode alternating: Rate: 120Hz Ploarity: negative
- CPN mode ( for chronic pain)
Used for treating a variety of maladies contributing to chronic pain.
Wave form : Twin peaked mono - phase spike
Mode alternating: Rate:1-120Hz(rate modulation), total cycle time : 40 seconds, Modulation time: 15 seconds on 1-10Hz, 5 seconds on `10-120Hz
5 seconds on 120 to 10 Hz, 15 seconds on 1-10Hz Polarity: negative
- POS mode ( for post-operative and acute pain)
Pulse rate: Phase I is 120 Hz and Phase II is 20 Hz
Polarity: Phase I is positive and Phase II is negative
Treatment time : Phase I is 20 minutes and Phase II is also 20 minutes, total is 40 minutes, treatment 3 times per day for 2 day period.

Select - The select keypad has multi-function capabilities. It allows you to choose between your amplitude and frquency ranges, It is used in combination with the two keypads that have up /down
arrows on them. |
| 3. |
Up Arrow - The Up Arrow increase the amplitude and frequency settings. |
| 4. |
Down Arrow - The Down Arrow decreases the amplitude and frequency settings. |
| 5. |
Low Battery Indicator- When the battery runs low, the low battery indicator on the top of the device will emit red, This is an indicator for you to replace your battery with a fresh one. The
message will stay for 1/2 hour, and then the unit automatically shuts off. |
| 6. |
Patient compliance timer- The Patient compliance meter monitors the length of the stimulator has been operating. It records from 1 minutes increments. After the unit controls have been set,
the LCD display automatically defaults to this timer. |
| 7. |
Parameter Lock - The parameter Lock feature holds the u nit settings whenever the device is turned off, or the battery is changed. Except, of course, for the amplitude which reverts to zero,
all other parameter/ control settings remain where they were perviously set. |
| 8. |
Auto shut-off - In order to protect the patient from wearing the stimulation too long, an automatic shut-off feature is incorporated into the device. After each 40 minute treatment, the unit
will shut off and go into a stand by phase. After that time, the word"idle" will be on the display which will be an indication to turn the unit off with the OFF / ON switch. If you are using the
post Op / Acute Pain protocol, do not turn the unit off. The unit wil automatically power back up for its next scheduled treatment. |
